In the world of play, creativity is not enough: you need fun, safety and manufacturing feasibility, all together.

Designing a toy requires a precise balance between playful aesthetics, ergonomics designed for children and safety standards. We study the interaction between child and object to create a play experience that is stimulating, educational and above all safe.

In collaboration with Black Flamingo we have built specific expertise in the toy sector, with projects ranging from electronic toys to educational wooden toys. Our goal is to reduce production risks and speed up time to market.

The service

Every stage of the project, in one studio.

01

Concept and target

Sketches, ideas and study of the age group the toy is meant for.

02

Play and mechanics

How it is played, how it is used, what makes it fun and long-lasting.

03

3D modelling and renders

Photorealistic images for presentations to investors, trade fairs and marketing.

04

Engineering and safety

Design for injection moulding, in compliance with safety standards.

05

Prototypes

3D printing to test the toy “in hand” before investing in moulds.

Projects

Toys and children’s products.

Safety

Safety is designed from the first sketch.

We take safety requirements into account from the earliest stages, when corrections are cheap. Compliance tests are then carried out by specialised laboratories: good design means arriving prepared.

Frequently asked questions

About toy design.

What kind of toys do you design?

We work on very different projects, from electronic toys to educational wooden toys, as well as children’s products and learning games.

Do you work with companies or also with start-ups?

Both: we support toy companies and start-ups that want to bring a new play idea to market.

Do you also handle safety standards?

Yes, we design with CE marking and the EN 71 standards in mind from the concept stage. The actual compliance tests are carried out by specialised laboratories or notified bodies.

Do you make prototypes?

Yes, we use 3D printing to make prototypes that test mechanics, joints and sturdiness before investing in industrial moulds.

Can you prepare renders for trade fairs and investors?

Yes, we create photorealistic renders and animations of the toy to present it to investors and trade fairs, or to start marketing early on digital channels.

Shall we give shape to your toy?

Write or call us: tell us your idea and together we will work out how to turn it into a product.
