Amaricante

Amaricante, an amaro pub in Pigneto (Rome): sustainable interior design, logotype and visual identity from website to menu.

Interior render

Amaricante was a pub specialising in amaro liqueurs in the pedestrian area of Pigneto, Rome. For the venue we handled a complete project: interior design, visual identity and coordinated branding.

The venue closed after 10 successful years.

Sustainable interior design in a small space

The venue was small and had an existing bar counter that limited what could be done. The project made the most of every space with creative, sustainable solutions, within budget.

The constraint

A small space, an existing counter and a tight budget.

The solution

Creative reuse of materials and custom-made furniture.

  • old salvaged shutters, restored and mounted on the wall as a decorative element and as tables for couples;
  • a large shelving unit behind the counter for the bottle collection, with great scenic impact;
  • old bottles turned into lamps, both pendants and wall lights.

Well-organised functional spaces

The side corridor houses the small kitchen, the bathroom and a storeroom that doubles as a staff changing room and holds the beer tap system. The space is optimised without giving up function or aesthetics.

Visual identity and logotype

The visual identity starts from the name chosen by the owner, turned into a distinctive logotype by customising an existing font.

Coordinated branding: from website to menu

The coordinated branding includes all the pub’s graphic elements, from the website to the menu and promotional materials. Every detail is designed to convey the authentic soul of Amaricante, a reference point for lovers of amaro and conviviality in Pigneto.
